Basketball Game Preview: Augusta Southeastern Suns vs. Liberty Eagles

The Augusta Southeastern Suns will take on the Liberty Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Saturday, Augusta Southeastern was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 54-50 to Biggsville West Central. The Suns have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Liberty didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They enjoyed a cozy 51-37 victory over Camp Point Central on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Augusta Southeastern's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Liberty, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Everything went Augusta Southeastern's way against Liberty in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, as Augusta Southeastern made off with a 53-32 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Augusta Southeastern since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
