Football Recap: Pine Forest Trojans vs. Seventy-First Falcons
Pine Forest lost against Seventy-First back in August of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Pine Forest Trojans had to suffer through a 49-20 loss at the hands of the Seventy-First Falcons. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Jayson Franklin had an outrageously good game for Seventy-First as he rushed for 125 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. The team also got some help courtesy of DeAndre Nance, who threw for 108 yards and two touchdowns.
Pine Forest's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Seventy-First, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with that win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pine Forest will venture away from home to face off against Gray's Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both are at an even 4-4 against one another since September of 2014. As for Seventy-First, they will have plenty of time to enjoy the victory as they don't play again for a while. They'll take on Hoke County at 7:30 p.m. on September 13th.
