Softball Recap: West Orange Comes Up Short

West Orange was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hackensack Comets. If the Mountaineers were looking for revenge after losing 4-3 to the Comets when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

West Orange's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Hackensack, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-13.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Orange will square off against East Side at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Mountaineers are facing the Red Raiders at the right time seeing as the Red Raiders are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Hackensack, they will challenge Paramus at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
