Football Game Preview: Reynoldsburg Raiders vs. Lancaster Golden Gales

The Reynoldsburg Raiders will face off against the Lancaster Golden Gales at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Reynoldsburg is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 42 points last Friday, they were much more limited against Groveport-Madison on Friday. They took a 20-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cruisers. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 301st, while the Cruisers are ranked 108th).

Meanwhile, Lancaster came into Friday's matchup having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Logan 41-7. The Golden Gales' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Lancaster's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-5. As for Reynoldsburg, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Reynoldsburg skirted past Lancaster 26-23 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Do the Raiders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Golden Gales turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
