Basketball Game Preview: East Valley Red Devils vs. Toppenish Wildcats

The East Valley Red Devils will head out on the road to take on the Toppenish Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Toppenish likes a good challenge.

East Valley made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Selah, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Red Devils fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 87-84 on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Red Devils in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, Toppenish didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Ellensburg on Saturday, but they still walked away with a 62-58 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Toppenish now has a winning record of 2-1. As for East Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

East Valley couldn't quite get it done against Toppenish when the teams last played back in January as they fell 49-38. Can the Red Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
