Football Recap: Heartland Comes Up Short

Fans were treated to a battle of the Huskies on Friday. Heartland were outmatched by Shelby-Rising City and fell 38-0. The loss continues a trend for Heartland in their meetings with Shelby-Rising City: they've now lost three in a row.

It was another big night for Logan Lindsley, who rushed for 136 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries for Shelby-Rising City. Those 136 rushing yards gave Lindsley a new career-high.

Heartland's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Shelby-Rising City, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Heartland wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 42-38 win against Centennial on the 26th. As for Shelby-Rising City, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-0 victory against East Butler on the 26th.
