Recap: Logansport Berries vs. Plymouth Pilgrims/Rockies

This season hasn't been kind to the Logansport Berries, who are still winless after their fifth matchup. They took a 50-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Plymouth on Monday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Logansport in their matchups with Plymouth: they've now lost nine in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Logansport lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kellyn Cripe. Despite the final result, she scored 13 points along with 4 steals. Cripe is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now stole two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Aracyn Good, who scored 6 points.

Plymouth's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sophie Miller, who scored 16 points along with 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Miller has scored at least 25% of Plymouth's points. Lena Jones was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.

Logansport's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Plymouth, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Logansport will take on Pioneer at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Pioneer focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Tuesday. Plymouth will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Tippecanoe Valley at 7:30 p.m. on November 30th. Tippecanoe Valley is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 51.1 points per game.
