Volleyball Recap: Dr. Joaquin Garcia Starts Season with Victory at Home

Dr. Joaquin Garcia took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Oxbridge Academy ThunderWolves. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered a 2-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Dr. Joaquin Garcia not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Oxbridge Academy between 17 and 20 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-17, 25-20.

Oxbridge Academy is on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Dr. Joaquin Garcia will host Wellington at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Oxbridge Academy, they are taking a road trip to challenge Olympic Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
