Basketball Game Preview: North Olmsted Eagles vs. Archbishop Hoban Knights

The North Olmsted Eagles will venture away from home to challenge the Archbishop Hoban Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

North Olmsted took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They took down Maple Heights 40-21.

Among those leading the charge was Katie Strong, who went 5-for-7 to rack up 10 points and five boards. What's more, she also posted a 71% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's achieved since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Morgan Outrich, who posted six points and four steals.

Meanwhile, Archbishop Hoban came tearing into Saturday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.7 points), and they left with even more momentum. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 66-20 victory over the Bearcats. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 22 points or more this season.

Archbishop Hoban pushed their record up to 20-2 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.0 points over those games. As for North Olmsted, their victory bumped their record up to 8-15.
