Basketball Recap: Tazewell Comes Up Short

Tazewell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 22nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Grundy Golden Wave, falling 67-19. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 83-6 back in December of 2024.

Tazewell's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Grundy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-6.

Tazewell wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 67-9 defeat against Marion on the 23rd. As for Grundy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 45-41 loss against Virginia High on the 25th.
