Softball Recap: Tuslaw Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Tuslaw's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. Everything went their way against the Northwestern Huskies as they made off with a 14-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.

Dani Crescenze and Hadley Porter did most of the damage at the plate: Crescenze went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one triple, while Porter went a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles. What's more, Crescenze posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaydence Chapman, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs.

Tuslaw was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .516. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .321 or higher in 11 consecutive matchups.

Tuslaw moved to 14-10 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Northwestern, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tuslaw will host Beachwood at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Northwestern, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rootstown at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
