Winston-Salem Prep is 9-1 against Carver since January of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Winston-Salem Prep Phoenix just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Carver Yellowjackets at 7:30 p.m. Winston-Salem Prep will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

On Wednesday, Winston-Salem Prep needed a bit of extra time to put away Leadership Academy. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Falcons, sneaking past 55-53.

Meanwhile, Carver suffered their biggest loss since February 21, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against Bishop McGuinness, falling 61-36. The defeat continues a trend for the Yellowjackets in their matchups with the Villains: they've now lost nine in a row.

Despite the loss, Carver saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jeremiah Glaspie posted 16 points in addition to five assists and five boards. Kejuan Bruton was another key player, putting up eight points.

Carver's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Winston-Salem Prep, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-1.
