Basketball Recap: Hill City Takes a Loss

Hill City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 52-18 defeat at the hands of the Phillipsburg Panthers. The Ringnecks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-11.

Despite the loss, Hill City still got an impressive performance from Rylie Minium, who posted 12 points and seven rebounds. That was a full 66.7% of Hill City's points, marking the ninth time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points.

Hill City's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Phillipsburg, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Hill City didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 48-19 defeat against Rawlins County on the 7th. As for Phillipsburg, they have also already played their next contest, a 54-43 victory against Beloit on the 6th.
