Preview: Bishop Kenny Crusaders vs. Buchholz Bobcats

After six games on the road, Bishop Kenny is heading back home. They will take on the Buchholz Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bishop Kenny has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

In what's become a running theme this season, Bishop Kenny gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They breezed by Oakleaf on the road to the tune of 48-15. The team accrued 39 points in the first half and coasted on those for the victory.

Clare Coyle was her usual excellent self, scoring 17 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Talbert, who scored 13 points along with three steals.

Meanwhile, Buchholz was able to grind out a solid win over Vanguard on Tuesday, taking the game 39-30. The win was just what Buchholz needed coming off of a 62-20 loss in their prior contest.

Buchholz's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tionna Wilkinson, who scored 14 points. Wilkinson continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Jamison Cardwell was another key contributor, scoring ten points.

Bishop Kenny pushed their record up to 15-3 with that win, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 23 points. As for Buchholz, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.

Bishop Kenny beat Buchholz 42-35 when the teams last played back in December of 2016. Will Bishop Kenny repeat their success, or does Buchholz have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
