Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mt. Vernon). They breezed past the South Spencer Rebels to the tune of 49-7 on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Wildcats needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Mt. Vernon's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for South Spencer, they dropped their record down to 0-4 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Mt. Vernon will head out to challenge Princeton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for South Spencer, they will be playing at home against Forest Park at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
