Volleyball Game Preview: Bethel Jaguars vs. Pinole Valley Spartans

The Bethel Jaguars will venture away from home to square off against the Pinole Valley Spartans at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

On Tuesday, everything went Bethel's way against Mare Island Tech Academy as Bethel made off with a 3-0 win.

Bethel never let Mare Island Tech Academy on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-21, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Pinole Valley had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They blew past the Dons 3-0. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since March 6, 2024, but that streak is no more.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-21, 25-16.

Bethel has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. Pinole Valley's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-1.

Bethel suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Pinole Valley in their previous matchup back in February. Can Bethel avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
