Volleyball Game Preview: Millennium Tigers vs. O'Connor Eagles

The Millennium Tigers will head out to square off against the O'Connor Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

It was a proper cat-fight when Millennium challenged Boulder Creek on Thursday. The Tigers won by a set and slipped past the Jaguars 3-2. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Jaguars recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Millennium got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-20, 17-25, 26-24, 20-25, 15-9.

Tyler Nguyen and Ethan Tran were among the main playmakers for Millennium as the former had 25 assists and nine digs and the latter had 15 digs and two assists. That's the most digs Tran has posted since back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, O'Connor got the win against Mesa on Friday by a conclusive 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Millennium's record now sits at 14-10. As for O'Connor, their record is now 17-8-1.

Millennium came up short against O'Connor in their previous matchup back in March of 2023, falling 2-0. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
