Basketball Game Preview: Lone Oak Buffaloes vs. Blue Ridge Tigers

Lone Oak hasn't had much luck against Blue Ridge recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. Both will face off at 2:50 p.m. without much rest having both just played. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Lone Oak saw some tournament action on Friday. They fell to Life Oak Cliff 48-42. The Buffaloes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Blue Ridge was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 55-50 to Wills Point.

Lone Oak's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Blue Ridge, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Lone Oak came up short against Blue Ridge in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 58-50. Can Lone Oak avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
