It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Biloxi ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They walked away with a 7-4 victory over the St. Martin Yellow Jackets. The win was some much needed relief for the Indians as it spelled an end to their eight-game losing streak.
Kya Gammons spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on ten hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Nia Shannon, who scored three runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylie Mckay, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
