Baseball Recap: Oakwood Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Oakwood and Brookville squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Oakwood had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Blue Devils by a score of 4-3. That's two games in a row now that the Lumberjacks have lost by just one run.

Nate Ferra made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Oakwood and nudges their season record down to 15-6-1. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only one runs. As for Brookville, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-16.

As of now, neither Oakwood nor the Blue Devils have any future games scheduled.
