Soccer Game Preview: North Stokes vs. East Wilkes

North Stokes is 2-8 against East Wilkes since March of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Vikings will host the Cardinals at 5:30 p.m. North Stokes will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

North Stokes is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They put the hurt on South Stokes with a sharp 8-3 win on Monday. Considering North Stokes have won four matchups by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, after soaring to eight goals the game before, East Wilkes was a bit more limited in their game two weeks ago. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Elkin. The defeat continues a trend for East Wilkes in their meetings with Elkin: they've now lost nine in a row.

East Wilkes' loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for North Stokes, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2-3.

North Stokes skirted past East Wilkes 2-1 when the teams last played back in March. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cardinals turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
