Softball Recap: Waverly Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Waverly duked it out with Fairfield on Saturday. The Tigers fell just short of the Lions by a score of 3-2.

Waverly saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Robertson, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI. Caris Risner was another, scoring a run and stealing two bases.

Waverly's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Fairfield, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Waverly didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-10 loss against Southeastern on the 1st. As for Fairfield, they have also already played their next game, an 8-6 win against Peebles on the 1st.
