Baseball Recap: South Hunterdon Comes Up Short

It was a good run, but South Hunterdon unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They lost 15-9 to the Point Pleasant Boro Panthers.

Aaron Parisi made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-5 with one home run, three stolen bases, and two runs. He has become a key player for South Hunterdon: the team is 6-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 6-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Trevor Lingerfield, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

South Hunterdon's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Point Pleasant Boro, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-11 record this season.

South Hunterdon will face off against Varsity Opponent at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Point Pleasant Boro does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
