Volleyball Recap: Wink Wildcats vs. Sanford-Fritch Eagles
Wink had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Sanford-Fritch Eagles 3-0 on Thursday. The Wildcats are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 14 straight.
Wink was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-17, 25-20.
Leading Wink to victory were Taylyn Garduno and Delaney Dodd-Fernandes. Garduno had six digs and 21 assists, while Dodd-Fernandes had eight digs. Garduno is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in the last 14 games she's played.
Wink has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 38-7 record this season. As for Sanford-Fritch, their defeat dropped their record down to 27-8.
