Pickerington North and New Albany are an even 3-3 against one another since September of 2020, but not for long. The Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pickerington North will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
On Friday, Pickerington North beat Grove City 31-21. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the Greyhounds are ranked 105th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pickerington North to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jarin Mock, who threw for 224 yards and one TD, and also rushed for 45 yards and one score. That's the most passing yards Mock has posted since back in November of 2024. Kymani Johnson was Mock's top target, picking up 93 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Pickerington North didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Grove City to a completion percentage of just 39.5%. The Panthers weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 62.5%.
Pickerington North didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Geo McKnight.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask New Albany). They breezed past Central Crossing to the tune of 47-0 on Friday. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Eagles just coasted through the last quarter.
Pickerington North's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for New Albany, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-5.
Everything went Pickerington North's way against New Albany in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Pickerington North made off with a 34-14 victory. In that matchup, the Panthers amassed a halftime lead of 27-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
