Volleyball Recap: Mater Brickell Academy Comes Up Short

Mater Brickell Academy lost against Palmer Trinity back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bulls took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons. While the Bulls didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Falcons 25-17 in the first set.

Mater Brickell Academy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 17-25, 27-25, 25-17, 25-20.

Leading Palmer Trinity to victory were Alexandra Garner and Bianca Blanco. Garner had 13 digs, while Blanco had 41 assists and nine digs. That's the most assists Blanco has posted since back in August.

Mater Brickell Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Palmer Trinity, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-4.

Coming up, Mater Brickell Academy will face off against Hialeah Educational Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Palmer Trinity, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Miami Country Day on the 17th.
