Football Recap: New Palestine Dragons vs. Pendleton Heights Arabians
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but New Palestine had no problem doing just that on Friday. They beat the Pendleton Heights Arabians by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 41-7. Considering the Dragons have won ten contests by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
New Palestine got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Caden Jacobia out in front who rushed for 62 yards and two touchdowns. Those 62 rushing yards gave Jacobia a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Wiegand, who rushed for 117 yards and a touchdown.
New Palestine was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 354 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pendleton Heights only rushed for 78.

The win for New Palestine keeps them at an undefeated 11-0. Those victories were due in large part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 7.8 points per game. As for Pendleton Heights, they moved to 6-6 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
New Palestine will head out to square off against Indianapolis Bishop Chatard at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Indianapolis Bishop Chatard is on a three-game streak of home wins, New Palestine a six-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field. Pendleton Heights does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
