Football Recap: Bruce Beats Falkner for Their Third Straight Win

A well-balanced attack led Bruce over Falkner in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. The Trojans came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 46-35. The Trojans' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Bruce got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Joshua Long out in front who threw for 251 yards and four TDs on only 19 passes. Cayden Jones also helped with three touchdowns in total.

Bruce didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jermaine Jackson and Sha'Marion McCain. Bruce got some further help from Marcus Brownlee: he picked up 0.5 sacks, forced one fumble, and made 16 total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Despite the loss, Falkner still got an impressive performance from Anthony Morgan, who rushed for 214 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 13.4 yards per carry, and also picked up 47 receiving yards. Morgan showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 64 yards.

Bruce's record now sits at 3-0. As for Falkner, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Bruce didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 38-16 victory against Coffeeville on the 19th. As for Falkner, they have also already played their next contest, a 54-24 win against Thrasher on the 19th.
