Volleyball Recap: Abigail Brister and Syler Sullivan Secure Win for St. Joseph

St. Joseph had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Navarro Panthers.

While St. Joseph won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-17.

St. Joseph was led to victory by Syler Sullivan and Abigail Brister. Sullivan had eight digs and three aces, while Brister had 11 digs and two assists. That's the most aces Sullivan has posted over her last six games. Isabella Cantu also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

St. Joseph's victory bumped their record up to 18-6. As for Navarro, their loss dropped their record down to 9-11.

St. Joseph wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Edna on the 30th. As for Navarro, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Sinton on the 30th.
