Volleyball Recap: Covenant Day Find Success

Covenant Day won the last time they faced St. Mary and things went their way on Friday too. The Lions came out on top against the Saints by a score of 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

Covenant Day was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-13, 22-25, 25-15.

Olivia Huneycutt paced Covenant Day's offense, picking up 11 kills. Huneycutt got some help from Maggie Shannon and her 17 assists. Shannon was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Covenant Day's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for St. Mary's, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Covenant Day has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against North Raleigh Christian Academy on the 6th. As for St. Mary's, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Charlotte Latin on the 6th.
