The Seymour Thunder will head out on the road to square off against the New London Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Seymour is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.9 runs per game this season.

Seymour is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Pewaukee just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 5-4.

Seymour saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caden Steffens, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

New London came out on top against Menasha last Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run sixth inning. The Bulldogs had just enough and edged out the Bluejays 6-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Seymour's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for New London, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Seymour came out on top in a nail-biter against New London when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 6-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Thunder since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
