Basketball Recap: Shidler Comes Up Short

If Shidler was feeling good fresh off their 43-21 takedown of Burlington last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Shidler Tigers lost 60-38 to the South Coffeyville Lions on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 279th, while the Lions are ranked 104th).

Shidler's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for South Coffeyville, they pushed their record up to 10-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Shidler has already played their next contest (against Prue), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. South Coffeyville will square off against Nowata at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. South Coffeyville is facing Nowata at the right time seeing as Nowata is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
