Baseball Game Preview: Horizon Honors Eagles vs. ALA - Anthem South Titans

The Horizon Honors Eagles will square off against the ALA - Anthem South Titans at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Horizon Honors has three straight victories, ALA - Anthem South has seven straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, Horizon Honors made easy work of Camp Verde and carried off a 12-3 win. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by six runs or more this season.

Horizon Honors always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .542. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Camp Verde only posted an OBP of .367.

Meanwhile, ALA - Anthem South lost 13-1 to Tempe Prep on Thursday.

ALA - Anthem South's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Horizon Honors, their victory bumped their record up to 11-4-1.

ALA - Anthem South's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Horizon Honors has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .447.
