Volleyball Recap: Galena's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Wednesday

After a string of five wins, Galena's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Billings Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-0 loss on October 2nd.

Mel Rice paced Galena's offense, picking up 26 kills. Rice got some help from Chloe Simpson and her 15 assists. Finally, Maddy Bilyeu kept Galena's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Galena's defeat dropped their record down to 19-11-3. As for Billings, they now have a winning record of 10-9-4.

As of now, neither Galena nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
