Soccer Recap: Point Loma Takes a Loss

Point Loma lost against San Pasqual back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Point Loma Pointers lost 4-0 to the San Pasqual Golden Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Pointers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 322nd, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 49th).

Point Loma moved to 4-3-1 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for San Pasqual, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

Point Loma will head out to take on Scripps Ranch at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Scripps Ranch is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.6 goals per game this season. As for San Pasqual, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Poway at 6:00 p.m. Poway's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so San Pasqual's offense will have their work cut out for them.
