The Cameron Dragons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their eighth straight defeat. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 43-18 walloping at the hands of Chillicothe. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Cameron has scored all season.
James Mathew was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds for Chillicothe. Mathew hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for 11 straight games. Kenyen Gannan was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Cameron dropped their record down to 4-23 with that defeat, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Chillicothe, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cameron will take on Chillicothe at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chillicothe, they will be playing at home against Maryville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Maryville is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
