Football Game Preview: Bennett Clippers vs. Wicomico Indians + Official Tickets

The Bennett Clippers are taking a road trip to take on the Wicomico Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bennett hasn't scored more than 12 points for five games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Bennett came into this matchup off a tough 42-point loss last Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of North Caroline by a score of 15-12 on Friday. The Clippers gained 204 more yards on the day, but it was the Bulldogs that made the best use of them.

Despite the defeat, Bennett saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Elijah Parks rushed for 52 yards and one touchdown, and also picked up 60 receiving yards.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Wicomico and Easton meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. The Indians fell 28-21 to the Warriors. The matchup marked the Indians' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Wicomico suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 6-2. As for Bennett, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Bennett might still be hurting after the 28-6 loss they got from Wicomico in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Can the Clippers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
