Basketball Game Preview: Wayland-Cohocton Eagles vs. Red Jacket

The Wayland-Cohocton Eagles and Red Jacket will round out the year against one another at at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Last Friday, Wayland-Cohocton was beaten by Hornell 72-30. The match marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Charles Mulford put forth a good effort for the losing side as he almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Ethan Bauer, who posted five points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Red Jacket didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Bloomfield on Friday, but they still walked away with a 60-54 victory.

Red Jacket now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Wayland-Cohocton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Wayland-Cohocton suffered a grim 47-23 defeat to Red Jacket in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Can Wayland-Cohocton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
