Softball Recap: Greenfield/Northwestern Triumphs

It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Greenfield/Northwestern ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They came out on top against the Griggsville-Perry Tornadoes by a score of 15-10. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Tornadoes: they've now won four in a row.

Greenfield/Northwestern got a massive performance out of Jillian McAdams, who fired off three triples, three RBI, and two runs while going 4-for-6. That's the most RBI McAdams has posted since back in April of 2024. Annabeth Thornton was another key player, going 4-for-6 with three runs, two doubles, and one triple.

Greenfield/Northwestern hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Greenfield/Northwestern's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Griggsville-Perry, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coming up, Greenfield/Northwestern will be playing at home against Lincolnwood at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Griggsville-Perry, they are taking a road trip to face off against North Greene at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
