Volleyball Recap: Ashley Hall Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Ashley Hall was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of First Baptist School last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers fell just short of the Northwood Academy Chargers by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Panthers were not able to make up for their loss to the Chargers from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Ashley Hall sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 16-25, 25-15, 24-26, 16-14.

Isabella Smith paced Ashley Hall's offense, picking up nine kills. Smith got some help from Charlotte Strickland and her 33 assists. Strickland was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Ashley Hall has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Northwood Academy, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Ashley Hall is set to challenge their familiar foe Palmetto Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Northwood Academy will square off against rival First Baptist School at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
