Preview: Sycamore War Eagles vs. Fairview Yellowjackets
Sycamore is 0-7 against Fairview since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Sycamore War Eagles will be playing at home against the Fairview Yellowjackets at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Sycamore's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 53-29 loss at the hands of Liberty Creek. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Sycamore has scored all season.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Hicks Hunter, who scored six points along with seven rebounds. Owen Mcmahan was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Fairview ended up a good deal behind Columbia Academy on Thursday and lost 63-46. While losing is never fun, Fairview can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 260th, while Columbia Academy is ranked 52nd).
Sycamore has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season. As for Fairview, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-14.
