Soccer Game Preview: Brazoswood vs. Dawson

The Brazoswood Buccaneers will square off against the Dawson Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brazoswood will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Brazoswood is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They never let Goose Creek Memorial get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. Given Brazoswood's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 117th, while Goose Creek Memorial are ranked 398th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last matchup, Dawson made sure to put some goals up on the board against Fort Bend Austin on Friday. They put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 5-1 win. The result was nothing new for Dawson, who have now won 13 contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Brazoswood's record now sits at 16-4-3. As for Dawson, their record is now 18-6-1.

Brazoswood came up short against Dawson in their previous matchup back in December of 2025, falling 2-0. Can the Buccaneers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
