Ryan Thompson looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brody Smith, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Cannon Murtaugh, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.
