Calvary Christian and Jesuit are an even 4-4 against one another since March of 2016, but likely not for long. The Calvary Christian Warriors will square off against the Jesuit Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Calvary Christian's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victor by an 11-0 margin over Anclote. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Cooper Notz looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Jace Traina was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (two). Gabriel Campos was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Calvary Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Anclote only posted a batting average of .000.

Meanwhile, Jesuit had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They had just enough and edged Lakeland Christian out 3-1. The win was nothing new for the Tigers as they're now sitting on 14 straight dating back to last season.

Ryan Thompson looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brody Smith, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Cannon Murtaugh, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.
