Softball Game Preview: Parkers Chapel Trojans vs. Ouachita Warriors

The Parkers Chapel Trojans will face off against the Ouachita Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Parkers Chapel has given up an average of 9.6 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Parkers Chapel is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Monday. They came up short against Magnolia, falling 18-3.

Meanwhile, Ouachita hadn't done well against Poyen recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Warriors skirted past the Indians 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Warriors have posted since March 15th.

Ava Lewis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Ouachita saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Haley Eudy, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases. Those two stolen bases gave Eudy a new career-high.

Ouachita's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-10. As for Parkers Chapel, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-11.

Parkers Chapel took their victory against Ouachita when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 12-2 score. Do the Trojans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
