Crystal City piles up the points against Dilley

The Crystal City Javelinas's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 65-16 win over Dilley at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Crystal City has managed all season.

Lyndsie Bosquez was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 17 rebounds. She hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Alyson Mata, who scored eight points along with 12 rebounds and five blocks.

Crystal City has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 15-14 record this season. As for Dilley, they are on a 18-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-24.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crystal City will square off against Natalia at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Natalia focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Tuesday. As for Dilley, they will head out on the road to challenge Hondo at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Hondo presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Dilley in Texas (Hondo is ranked 685th, while Dilley is ranked 1547th).
