Matoaca scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell to the Colonial Heights Colonials 78-74. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (58), the Warriors still had to take the loss.

It was another big night for Cameron Hartsoe, who went 12 of 16 en route to 34 points and eight rebounds for Colonial Heights. Those 34 points gave Hartsoe a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cartier Coleman, who went 7 for 10 on his way to 15 points and three steals.

Matoaca's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-11. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Colonial Heights, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-11.
