Pine Belt extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Samuel Smith. The Spartans took their game on Saturday with ease, bagging a 46-6 victory over the Meridian HomeSchool FLYERS for which the team can thank Smith, who rushed for 134 yards and three TDs on only ten carries. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing one fumble and making three total tackles.

Pine Belt's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Meridian HomeSchool, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Meridian HomeSchool has already played their next contest, a 44-0 loss against SAHE on the 27th. Hopefully Pine Belt paid attention to the FLYERS' matchup: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the FLYERS at 7:00 p.m. on October 4.
