Estero is 1-9 against Lehigh since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Wildcats will look to defend their home court against the Lightning at 6:30 p.m. Estero is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.5 points per game this season.

Estero took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 56-12 win over Ida Baker. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-5.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Estero to victory, but perhaps none more so than Amiya Lewis, who shot 53% from the field on her way to 19 points and seven rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Lewis has scored at least a third of the Wildcats' points. Another player making a difference was Londyn Woods, who went 7-for-14 to rack up 18 points and six boards.

Meanwhile, Lehigh played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. 2026 welcomed they with a 68-45 loss courtesy of Barron Collier. While losing is never fun, the Lightning can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 330th, while the Cougars are ranked 109th).

Estero's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Lehigh, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.

Estero beat Lehigh 53-43 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Lightning have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
