Basketball Recap: Cresset Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Cresset Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Sunday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 64-21 loss at the hands of the Elevation Prep Academy Honey Badgers. The game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Elevation Prep Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but DEVON MARTIN led the charge by going 6-for-9 to rack up 16 points and three steals. Elevation Prep Academy is undefeated when MARTIN posts three or more steals, but 3-18 otherwise. DEMARCUS RICHARDSON was another key player, going 5-for-8 en route to 11 points along with five assists and four steals.

Cresset Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Elevation Prep Academy, their win bumped their record up to 6-18.

Cresset Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Elevation Prep Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Amandla Academy on the 19th.
