Wiregrass had won two straight games and Emma Kelty did her part to make it three on Tuesday. The Kings narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Ballard Christian Eagle 36-34 with plenty of help from Kelty, who posted 23 points along with seven steals and five boards. Wiregrass is 5-2 when Kelty posts 15 or more points, but 3-4 otherwise.

Several Eagle players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Chloe Oswald, who scored 11 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals. Oswald is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Rebekah Corley, who earned six points and ten boards.

Wiregrass' victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Ballard Christian, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Looking ahead, Wiregrass will head out on the road to take on East Central HomeSchool at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Ballard Christian will be paying especially close attention to the Kings' matchup: after the Kings face off against the Patriots, they'll take on Ballard Christian again at 6:00 p.m. on the 29th.
